Upon arrival in Jabalpur, meet our representative and drive to Bandhavgarh, a small park with the highest tiger density in India, nearly assures you of seeing a tiger. In addition to the main draw, there are more than 40 leopards and frequently seen creatures, including deer, wild boar, and langur monkeys. When you get there, check into your hotel. After lunch, have a nighttime Jungle Safari. Enjoy dinner later at the hotel.
Early in the morning, go on a safari in the park, and then after the safari, come back to the hotel for breakfast. Later today, you may decide to go on an elephant safari, which is a highly satisfying experience, to follow in the royal tigers' footsteps as they are safely perched on the elephant's back (Supplement cost applies for elephant safari).
After breakfast, drive to Kanha and settle into your accommodation. One of the greatest tiger populations in the nation is protected in Kanha. Although your chances of spotting a tiger are probably a little lower than at nearby Bandhavgarh, the jungles here are enormous. In contrast to the rush-and-grab expeditions some complain about at Bandhavgarh, you can truly walk deep into the jungle, giving you a full safari experience. Tigers, leopards, and large herds of deer and antelope, including the incredibly rare barasingha, can all be found in the Sal forests and enormous grasslands. Numerous langur monkeys, the occasional gaur (Indian bison), and possibly even a family or two of wild boars will be present. More than 300 different bird species can be found in the park.
After Breakfast, proceed to a park jungle safari in the early morning. After lunch, have a nighttime Jungle Safari. As an alternative, you can arrange your activities to discover this park's diversity through its Nature Trails. A well-marked 7-kilometer track starts just inside the Khatiya Gate and circles the park's perimeter before turning around and returning to the community. Monkeys and birds will predominantly be what you see, but occasionally tigers will enter this region. Thus, a guide must be with you (Supplement cost applies for escorting).
