Itinerary

Upon arrival in Cochin, be warmly greeted by our representative and proceed to Munnar,enroute visit Kalady math stopping along the way to see the Athirapally waterfalls.The falls are located in the midst of lush green forests and is part of the Chalakudy River. The falls are approximately 80 feet tall and is the largest waterfall in Kerala. The surrounding area is home to a wide variety of wildlife, including tigers, leopards, elephants, and birds. Visitors can enjoy a variety of activities in the area, including trekking, bird watching, and rafting.

Later proceed to Munnar which is 135 kms( approx 4 hrs). The three rivers that the town of Munnar built up around are what gave it its name. It now offers stunning views, cardamom and spice plantations, scented oil manufacturers, glimpses of various endangered species, and the purple-blue Neelakurinji flowers that bloom every 12 years. After you arrive, check into your hotel and enjoy your evening at leisure.

Day 2 :
Munnar

After breakfast, Explore Eravikulam National Park, which is home to numerous elusive and endangered species. The area is known for its stunning views of tea plantations, providing a serene and beautiful landscape and it is a fantastic location for trekking. Later, continue to the Tea Museum (closed on Monday), which provides information about the history of the area's tea plantations. Visit the Flower Garden, The garden is filled with a variety of vibrant and beautiful flowers, perfect for taking some stunning photos. Depending on the season, you may find a variety of blooms, including roses, daisies, tulips, lilies, and more. Spend some time admiring the flowers and take in the peaceful atmosphere. Be sure to bring a camera and a picnic blanket so you can relax in the sunshine and enjoy the beauty of the garden. Later, proceed to the Eco Point, a great way to learn more about the importance of environmental conservation and sustainability. The Eco Point is a place where you can learn about the flora and fauna of the area, participate in activities, and visit the interactive exhibits. You can also take part in guided walks and nature trails, or simply sit back and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere. Later visit the Mattupetty Dam, a great way to experience the beauty of nature and learn about the history of the area. The dam is situated in the beautiful hills of Munnar and is home to a variety of flora and fauna. During your visit, you can take a boat ride across the lake and admire the stunning views of the surrounding landscape. You can also take a hike around the dam and explore the surrounding wildlife.

After breakfast, proceed to Thekkady (Periyar) ,a journey of around 110 km through winding roads, lush green tea plantations, and beautiful hills. The drive takes one through the Idukki district of Kerala, along the banks of the Periyar river, with the Western Ghats providing a stunning backdrop. Along the way, one can also spot exotic wildlife such as wild elephants, deer, and even tigers. The journey takes approximately four hours, and is truly a memorable experience.
Upon arrival, check into the hotel. Thekkady is known for its unbroken hills, diverse wildlife, and spice crops. The Periyar National Park is the area's most well-known feature. Take a boat ride on Periyar Lake during the day, and then watch a traditional Kalaripayattu performance, a traditional form of Indian martial arts, in the evening. Enjoy the captivating display of physical strength, agility and craftsmanship.

After breakfast, check out and drive to Kumarakom. Drive through lush green rolling hills, winding roads, picturesque villages and lush green rice fields. The drive passes through Munnar, which is known for its tea plantations, and takes one through the beautiful villages of Pallivasal, Anachal and Chellarkovil. One can also stop at the tea plantations and the waterfalls, and enjoy the view of the Vembanad Lake. Arrive Kumarakom, a delightful green peninsula jutting into the lovely Vembanad Lake and home to countless canoes, rafts, and other traditional country vessels. A maze of lagoons, canals, and waterways is created on the mainland when the lake's freshwater drains into it. Take a sail around Vembanad Lake at sunset.

After breakfast, Proceed to Cochin. Drive along the palm-fringed backwaters of Kerala. It is a journey of about 80 km and takes about two hours, passing through lush paddy fields, small towns and quaint villages, and offering stunning views of the backwaters, traditional Kerala homes and numerous cultural attractions. Visit the hotel to check in when you arrive. Later enjoy a city tour that includes the Mattancherry Palace,a 500-year-old palace that the Portuguese gifted to the king of Cochin in 1555. You can explore the Dutch and Portuguese colonial architecture, and learn about the history of the region. Then, head to the 500-year-old Jewish synagogue and witness the ancient rituals and customs that have been kept alive for centuries. Later, witness the Chinese fishing nets in action and explore the local spice market, where you can sample some of the freshest spices, followed by the vibrant performance art Kathakali dance.a vibrant performance art Kathakali dance- a traditional South Indian dance form that is sure to leave you mesmerized.

The Cochin Jewish Synagogue will be closed on Friday, Saturday, and Jewish Holidays.

The Tata Tea Museum in Munnar will be closed on Monday.

Thekkady and Munnar rooms won't have air conditioning.
