Continue the city tour by visiting the Zoological Park. This is also closed on Thursdays, so avoid visiting on this day. Next, visit Tenzing Rock, which is a large boulder with a plaque commemorating the Sherpa Tenzing Norgay's ascent of Everest. Take in the views of the surrounding area. Later, visit Gombu Rock, which is a large rock formation that is said to be the birthplace of Tenzing Norgay. Later, visit a nearby tea estate and take in the sights from the outside. Later, proceed for a half day tour of Gangtok, Visit The Flower Show: The Flower Show in Gangtok is a popular event which showcases a wide array of flowers from different parts of the world. The show is held at the White Memorial Hall and the beautiful and exotic flowers are a treat to the eyes.

Gangtok is a great place to shop for traditional handicrafts and souvenirs. Visit the local bazaar and get a feel for the local culture as you browse through the various stalls selling traditional items like Tibetan carpets, wooden carvings, and metalwork. Institute of Tibetology: The Institute of Tibetology is a museum and research center dedicated to the study of Tibetan culture and history. Here, you can learn about Tibetan Buddhism, art, music, and more. Later, visit the Do Drul Chorten, a Buddhist stupa located in Gangtok. It is one of the most important religious sites in Sikkim, and it is said to have been built to ward off evil spirits. You can explore the stupa and the nearby monastery. Later, visit the Bakthang Falls, a beautiful waterfall located in the hills of Gangtok. It is a popular spot for picnicking, and visitors can take in the stunning views of the surrounding valley.

In the northern Indian state of Sikkim, a settlement called Lachung is located in the mountains close to the Tibetan border. Lachung River serves as its dividing line. Amidst apple orchards, the town is home to the 19th-century Buddhist Lachung Monastery. Numerous rhododendron species are protected nearby in the Yumthang Valley's Shingba Rhododendron Sanctuary. The valley is renowned for its hot springs, pine trees, and waterfalls. On arrival, check into the hotel and rest of the evening free to explore Lachung on your own.

After breakfast, proceed to your day trip to Yumthang Valley, a great way to experience the beauty of Sikkim. Yumthang Valley is located in the North Sikkim district, at an elevation of 11,800 feet. It is a picturesque valley surrounded by mountains, meadows, and rivers. The valley is well known for its colorful rhododendrons, which bloom from April to June. There are also some private buses and taxis available from Gangtok. Upon arrival at Yumthang Valley, you can take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains, meadows, and rivers. The valley is home to many species of birds and animals, including the rare Red Panda. Visit the hot springs near the valley. You can also take a leisurely stroll around the valley, taking in the beauty of the landscape. You can also visit the nearby Gurudongmar Lake, which is situated at an altitude of 17,800 feet. This lake is considered to be one of the highest lakes in the world. After breakfast, proceed to a full-day excursion to Changu Lake. Start off with a visit to the Changu Lake itself. The lake is located in Gangtok, Sikkim, and is known for its serene beauty. You could spend time taking in the gorgeous views and taking photographs of the lake. You could even take a boat ride in the lake(on your own), or go for a leisurely stroll around the lake. Later, you could visit the Nathula Pass, which is a mountain pass at an elevation of 14,140 feet above sea level. It is located in the Himalayan mountain range and provides stunning views of the snow-capped peaks. You could take a tour of the pass and explore the surrounding area. After exploring the Nathula Pass, you could visit the Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial, which is dedicated to a soldier who sacrificed his life to protect the Indian borders. You could pay your respects to the brave soldier and learn about his heroic story.

Later, In the afternoon you could visit the Changu Monastery, which is located near the Changu Lake. This monastery is home to many Buddhist monks and is renowned for its beautiful architecture. You could take a tour of the monastery and explore the various religious artifacts inside. Finally, you could go for a hike to the nearby Tsomgo Lake, which is located at an altitude of 12,000 feet. This lake is known for its crystal clear waters and breathtaking views of the Himalayan mountains.
