Itinerary

Arrival to Chandigarh – Drive to Shimla

Upon arriving in Chandigarh, meet our representative and depart to Shimla. Chandigarh to Shimla is one of the most beautiful and scenic journeys in India. The journey starts from Chandigarh, the capital of Punjab and Haryana, and passes through some of the most picturesque towns and villages of Himachal Pradesh, before reaching Shimla. The drive begins in Chandigarh and moves towards the foothills of the Shivalik Range. As we move further, the terrain changes from urban to rural and you can see many fields, small hamlets and villages on both sides of the road. The lush green fields and the towering mountains in the background make for a stunning view. Further ahead, we drive through the small town of Pinjore, famous for its ancient gardens and an 18th-century fort. After Pinjore, the route leads to Kalka, a small town known for its beautiful temples and colonial architecture. From here, the journey takes you further up the mountains to the beautiful hill station of Shimla. The drive is truly breathtaking and full of surprises. As you drive further, the landscape changes and you can see beautiful snow-capped mountains in the distance. The journey is full of lush green meadows, streams, and forests, and the air is filled with the scent of pine trees. Finally, you reach Shimla, the Queen of Hills. It is a popular tourist destination and is known for its colonial architecture, spectacular views, and pleasant climate. Check-in at the hotel . Evening free to explore Shimla on your own.

Trip to Kufri

After breakfast, take a drive to Kufri to the Mahasu Peak. The peak is situated at an elevation of 2839 meters above sea level and the highest peak in Himachal Pradesh. The tour to the Mahasu Peak Starts at the Mall road in Shimla From there, you can take a taxi or a bus to the peak. The journey takes around three hours to reach the base of the peak. Once at the base, you can trek up to the peak. The trek is not very difficult and can be done even by beginners. The trail is mostly uphill and is well-marked with signs throughout. It takes around two hours to reach the peak. At the top, you can enjoy stunning views of the snow-capped Himalayan Mountains, lush green valleys, and villages.There are also several Buddhist and Hindu temples situated at the peak. The tour to Mahasu Peak is a great way to experience the beauty of the Himalayas and learn about the unique culture and heritage of the region. Return back to shimla.

Shimla – Kullu – Manali

After breakfast, proceed to Manali.Enroute enjoy the scenery in Kullu on the way. Kullu valley has come to be called the "valley of the gods" or the "habitable end of the world," It extends its allure on both sides of the upper reaches of the Beas River. This valley is renowned for its magnificence, imposing hills covered with pine and deodar forests, and expansive apple orchards. -Kullu Valley sits between the Pir Panjal, Lower Himalayan, and Great Himalayan ranges sit. Even though the valley is just 80 km long and 2 km wide at its widest point, a sizable portion of it is open to tourists so they can take in the beauty of the varied mountain views that continue to Manali, which has great views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar mountain ranges and is a year-round tourist hotspot thanks to its proximity to mountain adventures. Manali is well-known among adventure travelers who come for skiing, rafting, paragliding, and trekking in addition to the temples. After breakfast, proceed to Solan Valley The Solang Valley is a great place to start an unforgettable experience. Snow Point and Leisure in Manali

After breakfast,proceed to the snow point. This is a popular destination for tourists and is located at the top of a mountain. You can get there either by taking a cable car or by trekking up the mountain. Once you reach the top, you will be able to see a breathtaking view of the snow-capped Himalayas. Once you have taken in the view, you can enjoy your time at the snow point. There are a variety of activities to enjoy, such as skiing, snowboarding, sledding, and even ice skating. You can also take a walk around the area and explore the different snow sculptures that have been made by local artists. After a few hours of fun and adventure, you can make your way back down the mountain and spend the rest of the day at your leisure in Manali. You can take in the sights and sounds of the city and explore the many shops, restaurants, and cafes. There are also plenty of cultural attractions to visit and activities to participate in, such as visiting temples, museums, and art galleries. Drive from Manali – Dharamshala

After breakfast, check out of the hotel and drive to Dharamshala. A scenic drive from Manali to Dharamshala is an experience to remember. The drive is filled with stunning views of the Himalayas, lush green forests, and the winding roads. The journey of around 190 km takes around 7 hours but is worth every minute. Start your journey from Manali and head towards Kullu. From here, the road will take you through the beautiful Beas River Valley. Enjoy the majestic views of the snow-capped peaks, lush green meadows, and the endless forests. You will also pass through some quaint little villages, giving you a glimpse into the local lifestyle. As you move ahead, the road will take you to the picturesque Pandoh Dam. This dam is surrounded by lush greenery and is a great place to take a few pictures. The next stop is the town of Mandi. This place is known for its many temples and is a great place to explore. After exploring, you can continue your journey to the town of Kangra. Here, you can visit the famous Kangra Fort. The fort is a historical marvel and provides views of the Kangra Valley. Finally, after a long journey, you will reach the beautiful hill station of Dharamshala. Sightseeing in Dharamshala – Drive to Dalhousie

After breakfast, visit The Tsuglagkhang Complex- a center for Tibetan culture located in the town of Dharamshala, India. It includes a museum, the residence of His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and other important Tibetan sites. After breakfast, visit the complex to learn more about Tibetan culture and the life of the Dalai Lama. Later, visit some of the well-known monasteries in the area, such as the Namgyal Monastery and the Gyuto Monastery. You can also visit the Men-Tsee-Khang, a Tibetan medical facility that offers traditional Tibetan medicine and treatments. Finally, visit the Church of St. John, a picturesque church that is a popular tourist destination. If you're looking for a more spiritual experience, you can take part in yoga and meditation retreats offered in Dharamshala. These retreats can help you to re-energize and relax as you explore the beauty of the area.(optional) Later in the afternoon Drive To Dalhousie. Dalhousie is situated in the Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, India and is about 80 km away from Dharamshala. The best way to reach Dalhousie from Dharamshala is by road. The total driving distance from Dharamshala to Dalhousie is approximately 90 km and it takes around 2 hours and 30 minutes to reach Dalhousie from Dharamshala. The route is quite scenic and offers beautiful views of the Himalayan ranges, lush green valleys, and dense forests. While driving to Dalhousie, one can also visit the Kangra Fort and Bhagsunag Temple on the way. Once you reach Dalhousie, you can explore the various tourist attractions such as the Panchpula Waterfall, Satdhara Falls, Kalatop Wildlife Sanctuary, and Khajjiar Lake. You can also visit the various churches, temples, and colonial-era buildings in the town. Upon arrival, check-in to the hotel.

Sightseeing in Dalhousie with Khajjiar Excursion

After breakfast, take a trip to Khajjiar, the miniature Switzerland of India.To take a trip to Khajjiar, you first need to make your way to Kalatop, which is 13 kilometers away from Khajjiar. From Kalatop, the journey is 23 kilometers to Dalhousie. The drive to Khajjiar will take you through dense pine and cedar trees, and will give you a glimpse of the green pastures that are the hallmark of this miniature version of Switzerland. Once at Khajjiar, one can explore the saucer-shaped meadow where a little lake is located in the middle and has a floating island in it. Just a short distance away from the lake is the temple of Khajji Nag, which dates back to the 12th century AD. The temple's sanctum is exquisitely crafted out of wood. On the way back to Dalhousie, a stop at the Bhawani Mata Mandir in Bara Pathar is a must. The temple is dedicated to the Hindu Goddess Durga and is considered to be one of the oldest temples in the area. Once in Dalhousie, a visit to the St. John's Church is a must. Built after the town of Dalhousie was founded, this church is one of the oldest churches in the region. For those looking for a breathtaking view of the snow-capped mountains, a climb to the Bakrota Hills is the best way to go.

Drive from Dalhousie – Amritsar

After an early breakfast, checkout and proceed to Amritsar. Amritsar, also known as Ambarsar, is a significant spiritual location for Sikhs. The holy pool, established in 1574 by Guru Ram Das, the fourth Sikh guru, gave the city its name. This sacred body of water surrounds Harmandir Sahib, also referred to by devotees as the Golden Temple. Then head to the Wagah border crossing between India and Pakistan. Watch as soldiers from both nations lower their respective national flags during the ceremony known as "Beating the Retreat."

Amritsar – Departure from Chandigarh

After breakfast, Visit the renowned Golden Temple or Sri Harmandir Sahib, which is one of the most prominent spiritual sites in the country. The temple is a two-storeyed structure with its top half covered in almost 400 kg of pure gold leaf, which is what earned it its English moniker. Also visit Jallianwala Bagh, on The 13 April 1919 Jallianwala Bagh Massacre (aka Amritsar Massacre) was an infamous episode of brutality which saw General Dyer order his troops to open fire on an unarmed crowd of men, women, and children trapped in an abandoned walled garden during a Sikh festival. .   • Hotels located at Mall Road – Please note if the Vehicle is not allowed at Mall Road, then the guest will be dropped off at the nearest parking and have to be managed by walking.
  • Manali is 51 kilometres from Rohtang Pass. Since it is covered with snow for over 8 months out of the year, this Pass is inaccessible.
  • In the stores on Rohtang Road, you can rent snow garments, jackets, and gum boots for an additional fee if necessary.
  • 25th  and 31st December Gala dinner charges will apply at all hotels.
