Northern Lights Symphony

The general viewing season in Northern Norway is when the sky is sufficiently dark, which is from late September to early April. Peak Solar Activity occurs during September/October and March/April making them the best months to view Northern Lights. Period between months January to March balances deep darkness with increasingly clear, stable weather conditions and high solar activity, offering a strong chance of a spectacular show. 

You will be experiencing the Arctic winter, where temperatures often drop well below freezing, sometimes reaching -5 to -25 degree Celsius or colder with wind chills.  The key to your comfort is a system called Layering. 
Base Layer- This layer is worn next to your skin, long sleeved – Merino Wool or high-quality synthetic thermal material, avoid cotton. 
Mid Layers Insulators, Fleece jacket or thick wool/cashmere sweater. Fleece or microfleece trousers/track pants 
Outer Shell Layer for Shielding needs to be windproof and waterproof/water-resistant Jackets and Trousers. 

Yes, in major cities especially Tromso/Alta, you will have good options for Indian food. In Lofoten and smaller towns- very limited option are available. The tour has been planned in a manner, where you will have ample of Indian options for meals. 

Norway is part of the Schengen Area, you will be applying for a Schengen Visitor Visa. Standard Visa Processing Time is 15 – 20 working days, however we recommend Visa applications must be made at leaset 6 – 7 weeks in advance. 

Duly filled Visa application form along with photographs as per consulate specifications, recent bank statements, return air tickets, hotel confirmations, travel itinerary etc. Our customer service associate would be more than happy to assist and guide you through the entire visa application process.   

Your tour will entail easy to moderate activity levels. At JnC we believe that “Travel is in Details” and keeping this ideology in forefront, we mostly have relaxed itineraries. 

Payment structure for the tour depends on the timeframe of booking, If the tour is booked with less than 30 day from tour start date, complete tour cost needs to be paid. In case the booking is done well in advance, monies can be paid in couple of installments i.e. Booking amount, First Installment and Final Instalment, our associates will guide and help you through the entire payment process, where monies can be paid using multiple platforms like bank transfers, Debit/Credit Cards, UPI, Cheques etc.
