Itinerary

Welcome to Peru, a city located in LaSalle County, Illinois. The city of Peru was founded in 1835 and has a population of approximately 10,500 people. Peru is home to many attractions, including the Peru Mall, which is the largest shopping center in the city. The mall houses over 50 stores and is home to the Peru Civic Center, which is a popular venue for concerts, plays, and other events. On arrival at Lima, meet and greet our Local representative and transfer to your hotel.

Overnight Lima
(Breakfast))

After Breakfast and head off on a half-day sightseeing tour of Lima. Lima's main plaza is where you'll find the cathedral, the presidential palace, and the Convent of San Francisco, which features stunning cloisters and tombs. We take in the breathtaking Pacific Ocean vistas as we cruise through Lima's posh, up-and-coming neighborhoods in a luxury vehicle. Rest of the free to explore the city on your own.

Overnight Lima.
(Breakfast)

After Breakfast, Proceed to the airport to catch a flight to Cusco . Once you have arrived in Cusco, you will be greeted by a local agent and taken to your accommodations. Learn more about Santo Domingo's history at the convent in the afternoon. The walls of this temple were lined with solid sheets of gold, making it the most prominent temple devoted to the worship of the sun. The magnificent stonework is all that is left after the conquistadors pillaged the remainder. The monks who lived at Coricancha also used it as an observatory to keep track of important things that happened in the sky. Then we will find that the Inca site of Sacsayhuaman (which translates to "satisfied falcon") is truly one of the wonders of the world. Later, head to Q'enqo (literally "zigzag" or "labyrinth"), where you may see the most impressive carved rocks in the Cusco region. Puka Pukara, often known as "the red stronghold," is our last stop. It's a small place, and even though the name sounds like it was some kind of fort, there needs to be more evidence to suggest it was used for defense.

Overnight Cusco.
(Breakfast)

The Chicon and Veronica mountains, which are often covered in snow, make for a stunning backdrop to your morning journey. We went to "The Inca Agricultural Greenhouse or Laboratory," which is made up of four platforms in the shape of an amphitheater, while we were in Moray. Its 150-meter depth is shown by how its circular stone rings get wider as they overlap. It served as a laboratory for researchers interested in how plants adjust to different environments. Also, we stopped by Maras (or Salineras), a tiny town that seems like a smaller version of San Francisco but is located 11 kilometers (7 miles) from Moray. well-known all over the world for the roughly 3,000 individual salt wells that make up its salt mines. These were used as money and collateral as far back as Inca times. It's fascinating to learn about the people that work in these salt mines and the process by which salt is extracted from the ground. The Inn at Cuzco is booked for the night.

(Breakfast)

Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the train station. Board a train to the quaint village of Aguas Calientes and a bus to Machu Picchu, both of which are on the list of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Machu Picchu is an Inca city that sits on a slope between two peaks and has a maze of beautiful stone temples, homes, and fountains. When Hiram Bingham found it in 1911, it was hidden by plants that had grown too big. After a guided tour of this historic site and some time for lunch, you'll head back to your Cusco hotel in the late afternoon.
