After an early breakfast, check out and drive to Mysore, known for its royal palaces, sandalwood, and incense stick manufacturing. Mysore also included some lovely parks and a pleasant climate and was once the center of the Princely state. Register at the hotel upon arrival. After lunch, spend the afternoon exploring Mysore. Stop by Chamundi Hill and the Mysore Palace, whose interior is lavishly carved, detailed, colorful, and architecturally fascinating. Former monarchs, the Wodeyars, controlled the Mysore Kingdom from this palace. Visit Brindavan Garden in the evening, which is optional, and is 19 kilometers from Mysore. One of the largest in India, the 2-mile rock-field dam creates a 130 km2 lake. Maharaja Krishnaraja Wodeyar constructed it to supply water to the Shivanasamudra power plant.
