Next, pay a visit to Nathmal Ji ki Haveli, a majestic mansion that combines Rajput and Islamic architecture. Later, travel by Badal Vilas, the current home of the former royal family, and the lovely Gadisar Lake. After breakfast, enjoy Jodhpur city sightseeing, the second-largest city in Rajasthan and also known as the "Sun City". Visit Mehrangarh Fort, This magnificent red sandstone fort towers over Jodhpur's skyline atop a vertical rock. A museum with a superb collection of armaments, costumes, paintings, and even a collection of palanquins is housed in the fort, whose foundations were constructed in 1459. Visit Jaswant Thada as well, a marble memorial created in Maharaja Jaswant Singh II's honor. Marble sheets that have been elaborately carved are used to construct the monument in its entirety. These stones are so thin and well-polished that when the sun's rays dance across their surface, they shine warmly. Drive past the Mandore garden later to see the cenotaphs of Jodhpur's former kings; unlike other cenotaphs, these are constructed like a Hindu temple. The rest of the day is free.
